This term we have a two night lightweight hike in Morton National Park. We will be meeting at the hall at 5:30pm on Friday and heading down to Sassafras where we drive through an access track to the park entrance at Map Ref Tianjara 500086. We will camp the night in a bush camp approx 500m from the car park. We
will head off early Saturday morning to Camp Rock (Camp spot with a really cool rock) at Map Ref Endrick 475007. This hike to camp rock is approx 10km along the Endrick River Firetrail. If we have time and enough motivation after we setup camp we will visit the Bora Bora Grounds on Quiltys Mountain Map Ref Endrick 452012 (approx 5km return). On Sunday we will return on Endrick River Firetrail to the cars.
The max total distance for the hike over the weekend will be 25km of which 20km will be with full packs. It will also be very cold and we will most likely fall to below 0 degrees and below.
